It makes a flame. Flame adjustment is limited but sufficient. Better than the cheap ones I've tried. DO NOT TURN THE CYLINDER WITH THE FLAME ON!!!

I bought this to get a free gift. The main reason for purchasing was to start a fire while camping, but it seems like it will be useful for grilling and soldering as well. I was worried that it might be a defective Chinese-made fire product, but there doesn't seem to be any issues at all. Nowadays, you can't just rely on "made in Japan" to feel safe, so I'm glad I got this.

Really nice little torch. Seems to be well made and mostly all metal. Really nice flame, electronic ignition and adjustable air mixture is a nice touch! I was a little confused at first about how to attach it. You have to twist it after placing on the bottle so that it holds itself on to the bottle.. it doesn't look like that will work until you actually do it.

The flame on one of them is a little unstable, but when it warms up keeps burning very well. It's nice that you can adjust the intensity of the flame. And being metal it's more reparable, for those who care.
